University Grants Commission circulated an announcement for Indira Gandhi Scholarship 2024 for Single Girl Child. Girls Students who are single girl child in their family may apply for this scheme. This scheme only for those girls who are studying in the first year of Post-Graduation course in a recognized university or institute. Eligibility Criteria for Indira Gandhi Scholarship 2024
- Any single girl child who happens to be an only child or twin daughter or fraternal daughter in the family, if one son and one daughter are available then girl child will not be considered for the scholarship under the scheme.
- The scheme is applicable to such a single girl child who has taken admission in regular, full-time 1st year Master’s Degree course in any recognized university or a post-graduate college.
- This scholarship is available to PG-I year student only.
- Admission to PG Course in distance education mode is not covered under the scheme.
- Student studying in such a university which is not granted any fund by the UGC then the student can't apply for this scheme.
Age Limit:
The age of the girl students up to the age of 30 years at the time of admission in PG courses are eligible.
Amount of Fellowship:
The financial assistance available under the scheme is the Rs.3100/-per month for the full duration of a PG course.
No other additional grant will be payable including of hostel charges and medical charges etc.
