MHRD Scholarship 2023-24

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education has announced a notification for MHRD Scholarship 2023-24 on the official website. This scheme is available for Secondary (Class VIII to Class IX) & Higher Secondary (Class X to XII) level Students. Those students who are not able to continue their education further due to lack of money may get the benefits of this scheme. The MHRD Scholarship Online Form will be available for all students. Those students are eligible and meet the criteria should apply only. Eligible students will be selected on the basis of secured marks in written exam which will be organized very soon.

The organization released many scholarship schemes such as Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and Merit Cum Means & Minority to all the needed candidates. All the SC/ST/OBC/Backward & Minority category students fill this application to complete their education without facing money problem. A large number of students who are studying in 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th standard are eligible for this scheme.

The selection of the students for this scheme depends upon the performance done in written exam. Those who wish to get this scholarship than prepare well and try to crack the written exam. To prepare for the entrance test, you have to be fully prepared in all topics given by the authority to qualify this test. 


All India Scholarship Schemes

Ministry of Human Resource Development is also referred to as MHRD. It is a government equipment and works under the central government. It provides scholarship facility to students for higher education. It offers a fixed education fee to all needy students according to their subjects. Eligibility Criteria for MHRD Scholarship 2023-24

• The awardees should get clear promotion from Class VIII to Class IX being eligible for stating the Scholarship.
• The Scholarship at the Secondary and Higher Secondary state or equivalent Classes IX to XII is payable for a maximum period Four years for studies in India only.
• No scholarship at this stage is payable for studying Diploma / Certificate level course.
• For continuing the scholarship in Class X and XII the students should get clear promotion from Class IX to X and from Class XI to Class XII in the first attempted with 55% marks (50% marks for SC / ST Students).
• The awardees must obtain a minimum 60% marks in Class (55% for SC / ST Students) examination or Equivalent examination for the continuation of the scholarship at Higher Secondary stage.

Scholarship scheme:

The amount of scholarship is proposed to be Rs.6000/ per Annum (Rs.500/ per Month).

Selection Process for MHRD Scholarship 2023-24

The selection of students will be based on Examination. Each State / Union Territory will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means cum Merit Scholarship. The State level Examination consists of the following Two Stage-

• Mental Ability Test (MAT) - MAT consists of 90 Multiple Choice Question testing verbal and nonverbal Metacognitive abilities like- Reasoning and Critical Thinking, The question in the test may be on Analogy, Classification, Numerical Series, Pattern Preception, Hidden Figures etc. Each Test will be of 90 minutes duration. Children with Disability will be given extra time, as applicable.
• Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) - Sat consists of 90 multiple choice questions covering subject namely, Science, Social Studies and Mathematics as taught in Class VII and VIII. The duration of the Test is 90 Minutes.

National MCM Scholarship Result & Selection for Aid

The students must pass both tests- MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in each, for the reserved category this cutoff marks will be 32%.

The parental income of the students should not exceed that Rs.1.50 lakh per annual from all the sources.

At the time of selection for the award of scholarship, the candidate must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent examination. There will be 5% marks relaxation for SC / ST students.

Others Requirements:

A student can available only One Scholarship under any scheme.

The awardees will be asked to open Joint Account with Parents in State Bank of India, which has core banking faculty.

The process to apply for MHRD Scholarship 2018-19

• First of all, open the official website i.e. "www.mhrd.gov.in".
• Read the latest notification on the homepage.
• Choose the proper link and then click on it.
• Enter all the required information into the correct field carefully.
• Then upload all the needed documents, photo and signature.
• After finishing the process press the submit button carefully.
• Finally, save it and take the hard copy prints out for further use.
