PM Scholarship 2023-24

The National Defence Fund has recently released a notification for PM Scholarship 2023-24 to encourage Higher Technical & Professional Education for the dependent wards & widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) Personnel. By Prime Minister's Scholarship (PMSS) approximate 2000 people will get the benefit to continue their higher education. The association publishes this scholarship scheme every year. Only selected students are eligible to reward this pleasant amount of Rs.27000/- (Girls) and Rs.24000/- (Boys) per year. All India Scholarship Scheme

Eligibility Criteria for PM Scholarship 2023-24

• Wards/widows of deceased CAPFs & AR personnel died in harness/election duty, wards of personnel disabled due to causes attributable to Government service and Wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel in receipt of Gallantry Awards.
• Wards/widows of retired and serving CAPFs & AR Personnel. (Personnel below Officer Rank)
• Pursuing first professional degree program in the field of Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Veterinary, BBA, BCA, B. Pharma, B.SC (Nursing, Agriculture, etc.), MBA and MCA etc. in accordance with the guidelines as mentioned in Para- 8 (B).
• Having a minimum of 60% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e. 10+2/Diploma/Graduation or equivalent in the case of the new applicant. Or For applicants applying under renewal category, it is mandatory to pass each subsequent academic year of the professional courses being pursued by them with minimum 50% marks.
• A grace period of one year only for cases, where there is a delay on the part of the candidate for submission of an application for renewal of scholarship may be entertained.

Required Documents:

Fresh Applicant

1. Service Certificate to be issued by the H.O.O in case of serving personnel in the prescribed format
2. Bonafide certificate to be issued by the Registrar/Dean/Principal of the College/ Institution / University in the prescribed format
3. A canceled leaflet of a blank crossed cheque and copy of the passbook clearly showing the account number and name of the account holder
4. Applicants are required to upload duly attested scanned copy of the Mark sheet of Xth and MEQ mandatorily along with the following certificate which is applicable
5. Certificate of passing Xth or equivalent examination for verification of date of birth
6. Mark sheet of XIIth/Diploma/Graduation or equivalent as per MEQ
7. PPO/discharge certificate/book (mandatory for category A to F)
8. Dependent Certificate (mandatory for category A to F)
9. Disability Certificate (mandatory for category B & D)
10. Death Certificate (mandatory for category A & C)
11. Certificate of Gallantry award (mandatory for category

For Renewal

1. Service Certificate to be issued by the H.O.O in case of serving personnel in the prescribed format
2. Bonafide certificate to be issued by the Registrar/Dean/Principal of the College/ Institution / University in the prescribed format.
3. A canceled leaflet of a blank crossed cheque and copy of the passbook clearly showing the account number and name of the account holder
4. Applicants are required to upload scanned copy of Mark Sheet of the previous academic year passed duly attested by the Principal of respective college/ institute.

Guidance to apply online for PM Scholarship Scheme 2023-24
